Live Work Alliance is a leading advocate for creating attainable housing in California, and for the skilled labor force who build it. We represent a diverse alliance of housing advocates, construction and homebuilding associations, and policymakers who want to reform home building and expand workforce development opportunities in the construction trades.

California faces two connected challenges: a shortage of attainable housing and a shortage of skilled workers. Our Building 101–401 and Construction 101–401 learning series follows housing from planning and entitlement through permitting and construction. It also provides behind the scenes housing and opportunities to hear directly from builders, planners, developers, and construction professionals.
